Nicholas Eugene Bourgeois
August 30, 1991 – December 5, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Nicholas Bourgeois announce his sudden passing on December 5, 2022 at the age of 31 years old. Nicholas was raised in Barrhead, spending many hours at the local hockey rink. Nicholas graduated from Barrhead Composite High School in 2009. He was a proud teammate of the 2010 – 2011 AJHL Champions, the Spruce Grove Saints. As well as many other teams that were made hugely successful with his energy. He ran a successful business, Vanic Oilfield Services. Nicholas‘s whole world was his three girls, Vanessa, Nova and Stella.
Nicholas is survived by his girls; his wife, Vanessa Chase; daughters, Nova and Stella Bourgeois; parents, Eugene and Joanne Bourgeois; sister, Nina (Tim) Kooter; brother, Steven (Kayla) Bourgeois; nieces and nephews, Marrit and Theo Kooter & Wren and Daliah Bourgeois; grandma, Evelyn Bourgeois; parents-in-law, Shawn and Tina Chase; sister in laws, Amelia and Macey Chase; as well as many more family and friends from close and far.
Nicholas is predeceased by his pépère, Edmond Bourgeois in 1994; grandmother, Marg Thoma in 2019 and grandfather Albin Thoma in 2020.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday December 16, 2022 at Barrhead Arena.
