BUD WAYNE BRUNS
August 4, 1951 - January 24, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bud Wayne Bruns on January 24, 2022 at the age of 70, following a brief illness.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Lashuk), his children Jennifer (Bill Bagshaw), Patti Bruns (Olav Strand) and Joel Bruns. Grandpa Bud will be deeply missed by this five grandchildren, Carter and Kai Ayasse, Will and Nyah Bagshaw, and Amelia Bruns.
Bud leaves to mourn his loss siblings Linda Teha (Hal), Chris Bruns (Jenny), Dale Bruns, and Larry Mercredi, along with his nieces and nephews Kevin, Nadine, Paul, Megan, Erin and Julie. Bud will be missed by his extended family, mother-in-law Mary Lashuk, sister-in-law Beverly Rosnau (Bryan), brother-in-law David Lashuk (Donna), brother-in-law Victor Lashuk (Colleen), along with his nieces and nephews Scott, Natasha, Desmond, Dayne, Mark and Rebecca.
He is pre-deceased by his parents Norton and Jewel Bruns and father-in-law Emel Lashuk, and sister-in-law Denise Lashuk.
Bud was a lifelong resident of Barrhead and enjoyed reading, tending to his yard, and sharing time with family and friends. His quick wit and generosity will be missed by those close to him.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for taking such good care of Bud during the last weeks of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to STARS Air Ambulance in Bud’s memory.
