CHASSE, HELEN IRENE (nee JOHNSON)
April 5, 1938 - April 1, 2020
On April 1, 2020 Helen passed away peacefully at the Athabasca Extendicare at the age of 81 years.
She was the beloved mother of Clovis (Gail), Richard (Angelique), Wilfred (Bessie), Kathrine (Henry Kerckhof), Elizabeth (Louis Kerckhof), Victor (Krista) and
grandmother of Clovis Jr., Jennifer, Curtis, Trevor, Theresa, Nicolas, Stewart, Johnathon, Teresa, Blake, Robert, Louis, Owen, Victoria, Katerina, Jessie and Justin, her sisters, Annette and Ida. Helen will also be missed by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Louis and her siblings; Pauline, Clara-Rose, Bud, Ed, Bob, and grandson Jordan.
She lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Helen loved to cook and bake and was highly skilled with the knitting needles, crochet hooks and crafts. She enjoyed her daily visits to the coffee shop and weekly outing to the local bingo hall.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s name may be made to the Athabasca Extendicare.
The family would like to thank Dr. C. Mackenzie, the Nurses and Healthcare workers, and Staff at Athabasca Extendicare. Helen will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
