Evelyn May Corbett
May 1, 1953 – June 26, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Evelyn Corbett. Evelyn passed peacefully at the age of 72 surrounded by her family.
Evelyn leaves behind her children; Cameron (Dolores), Virginia, and Rebecca (Dillon), her grandchildren; Quinn, Livia, and Aubree as well as many nieces and nephews, her sisters Madge (Larry), Sheila (Larry), Karen, and brother Arley (Diane). Evelyn was predeceased by her mother Neata, father Arlington, and brothers, Allister, Gordie, and Richard.
Born in Edmonton in 1953, Evelyn was one of 8 Children. They started out in Drayton Valley before moving to Clyde. After some years of farming in Clyde the family bought a farm in the Roselea area of Barrhead County in 1966. This is the area where Evelyn was married and raised her children. She was a gifted seamstress and upholsterer, regularly sewing clothing for her family, and always ready to help a neighbour redo a tractor or quad seat. She spent many hours canning, baking, gardening and harvesting in the fields. Evelyn later moved into the town of Barrhead where she remained.
Evelyn requested there not be a funeral, rather a small, private celebration of life with family and close friends.
