Marjorie Helen Cote [Westerberg]
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marjorie Helen Cote [Westerberg], of Calgary, Alberta. She passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021.
Marjorie was born in Edmonton, Alberta, but grew up in the Sangudo area. She will be remembered for her love, kindness and caring nature, as a mother, grandmother and nurse. Marjorie graduated from the U of A Nursing in 1963. Her whole life was dedicated to serving others. She began her nursing career in Ajax, then Montreal before settling in Regina, where she spent most of her nursing career. She worked in both geriatrics and pediatrics. She spent the last fifteen years of her career running her own foot care business, both in Regina and Calgary. Marjorie was a dedicated mother and grandmother, always putting her family first. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, walking, traveling and cat. May you rest in peace; you will always have a special place in our heart’s mom and grandma.
Marjorie is survived by her son Ashley (Isabelle) and daughter Alynne (Jason) as well as her grandchildren Loic and Hugo (Ashley) and Lincoln (Alynne).
She is predeceased by her parents John and Helen Westerberg and sister Betty.
There will be a private celebration of life with her children. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of AgeCare Midnapore who loved and cared for her with dignity during her final days of life.
