Martin J. Couiyk
June 26, 1955 – July 17, 2021
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Marty Couiyk, a loving Husband, Son, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother and Friend at the age of 66 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Vee of 33 years and their five children Phyllis (Sid) Degen, Darrell (Candace), Dawn (Keith) Van Hecke, Scott (Coletta) Lovie and Dyan (Curtis) Scherer. He was a doting grandfather to Amanda (Roy) Klopstra, Travis, Cheyenne, Annette (Devin) Lyons, Hunter, Hailey, Blake (Becky) VanHecke, Kyrsten, Robert, Rosheem, Rochelle, Kaedyn and Ryelyn. He was also loved by his two great grandchildren Alexa and Aiden, his father Garvin Romeo and Sister Annette. Martin was predeceased by and now joins his loving mother Rose Romeo.
An Afternoon of Remembrance to celebrate his life was held on July 26, 2021 in Normandy Room of the Fort Saskatchewan Legion. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
