It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing

of Darlene Grace Witter. Darlene passed away peacefully with

family by her side after a short battle with cancer.

Darlene is survived by 3 sons, Dean (Wendy) of Morinville, Lorne

(Robyn) of Legal, and Cory (Robin Dawn) of Ardrossan. She also

leaves behind 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, with

a new great grandchild on the way. Her brother’s Harold (Elsie)

of Calgary, Herby (Joanne) of Penticton B.C., and sister’s Sharon

of St. Albert and Merna of Edmonton, as well as numerous nieces

and nephews. Darlene also had a large extended family at her

home, Manior Savenay in Morinville. A huge thank you to the

ladies for the care they extended to Darlene.

Darlene is well known for her early years of babysitting in Legal,

her years of curling in both Legal and Morinville and of course her

love of baking pies and banana bread.

Darlene was predeceased by her husband Don, daughter Gail,

parents Monica and Jim Thompson, and her brother Chris.

A private family burial has taken place. We will have a Celebration

of Life in September 2024. Details will be advertised in the paper

closer to the date.

In lieu of flowers please just take a moment to help out a senior

and hug your loved ones.
