Anne was born at the Zilinski family home at Waugh, Alberta on January 1st, 1926.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Ted in 1990, her oldest daughter Marion in 2000, also by her parents Nicholas and Josephine, and all her seven brothers: Steve, Joe, John, Leon, Frank, Julian and Fred.

She has left to mourn; her only sister, Lucy, Marion’s husband Dennis Chance, Marion’s children, Rod and Andrea & James Lisik. After enrolling in a War Emergency Teaching Program, Anne graduated from the U of A in 1946 to begin her teaching career in Halach, Alberta where she met her husband, Ted. Married in 1947 and having two girls in ’48 and ’49, she resumed her teaching career at a few different country schools, the most years spent at Rochester. In 1973, Ted and Anne moved to Westlock which has been her home ever since. As much as she enjoyed teaching, she enjoyed her growing family even more to include five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

“Once a teacher – always a teacher”
And we all benefited from her being so.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Westlock Intermunicipal Library

A Memorial Celebration will take place Tuesday, October 25th at 1:30 p.m. at the Westlock Memorial Hall.
