EARL, Weston Jay
December 25, 1922 – May 29, 2020
Weston Jay Earl passed away at the age of 97 on May 29, 2020, at Aspen House, Morinville AB.
He was predeceased by his wife Gene Muriel Earl (nee Silver) in 2018; brothers: Eugene, Glen, and Wilbur; and sisters: Norma and Margaret.
He is survived by his brother James; sons: Ronald, Lorne (Helle), Neil (Cheryl); grandchildren: Jory (Kim), Kelton, Patrick (Hope), Treston, and Debra Raatz (Earl) and 3 great-grandchildren.
Wes was born in Didsbury AB and eventually ended up in Smith AB at the age of nine. He worked at trapping and farming, joining the army for training near the end of the Second World War. In 1947 he married Gene and began farming. In 1959 he started driving for Hayes Transport, going on to drive for the Department of Highways for the rest of his career, retiring in 1987. They moved to Westbank BC in 1993. Wes moved to Morinville AB in May 2019.
