Laura Victoria Ellefson
Laura Victoria Ellefson was born north of Athabasca on Feb 3,1925 and passed away on Sept 26, 2021 in Brooks AB. She was the oldest of 6 children born to Nannie and Lawrence Devlin. Laura married Roland (Slim) Ellefson in May of 1945 and joined and supported him in their logging and lumber operation and later in farming. They retired in 1996 to Duncan BC close to Laura’s siblings, where Slim passed away in 1998. Laura moved to Brooks AB in 2011 to be closer to her daughter.
Besides her husband, Laura was predeceased by all of her siblings, the last one in 2011.
She is survived by daughters Linda Asato of Clearwater Florida and Wendy (Gerry) Martin of Duchess AB, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren,
5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved Slim in the Athabasca cemetery.
