FIX, Donald Sr.
With great sadness in our hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Don Fix Sr.
Don Sr. was born on August 24, 1936 in Edmonton (AB). A long time resident of Fairview (AB), Don Sr. passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 in Edmonton (AB), at the age of 84 years.
Outside of his duties as the owner of Adventure Automotive, Don Sr. enjoyed fishing, travelling, soaking up the sun, tinkering with his rentals, camping, looking through flyers for a deal, hunting, curling, golfing, watching a good cowboy movie, dancing and whistling.
Don Fix Sr. will be remembered as being as generous as they come, kind from the bottom of his heart, deeply loving of his family, committed to his friends and his community. He was strong in mind and spirit, hardworking, loyal, quick witted, and he was as good a man, husband, father, and friend a person could have and know.
He is predeceased by his parents Charles & Lena Fix; and, his brother Robbie Wayne.
Remembering Don with deep love are his wife Edna, children-Cheryl (Sebastien Vaudandaine) and Sabre, Cheryn (Dallas Wolansky) and Trey, Donald (Kim) Logan, Kennedy and Camryn, and Richard (Jane) Paige and Nathan. Also survived by his brothers, Charles Jr., Alyn (Tansy), Norm (Val), Larry (Kathy), Darryl and his sister Jacqueline (John) and numerous nieces and nephews.
An Anglican Funeral Service was held at St. Thomas More Church in Fairview on September 26th, 2020.
Interment has taken place at the Athabasca Cemetery on Monday, September 28th, 2020.
