Harold Arthur Frey
We are saddened to announce the passing of our father, Harold Arthur Frey, on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021 in Athabasca, Alberta. Dad passed peacefully in his home on the farm, where he always wanted to live until the end. Dad was born in the family farmhouse in Good Hope community and attended school there with his six siblings. He loved growing up on the farm with his large family and toiling hard in the fields with a team of horses. He started trucking in 1952 for Richard Pollock, hauling logs from Edmonton to Golden and working with his best friend Ken Kaiser. Dad met the love of his life, Verna Henkel, in 1960 at an event at the Duffield church and were married June 24,1961. They started farming and began a family not far from the homestead. In the early 70’s they moved to Athabasca, Alberta to continue farming and carve out a new life. Dad was a quiet gentle Christian man who loved being surrounded by family.
Dad is survived by his children: Gayle (Doug) Radke, Wade, (Stacy) Frey, Patricia (Robert) Przybylski, Corrie (Heather) Frey, Brandi Frey (Walter Laroche), Grandchildren: Matthew(Gillian) Radke, Melissa Radke, Jennifer Frey, Valerie Frey,Leanne Frey (Daniel Paul-Bohach), Kyle Frey, Justin Przybylski, Morgan Przybylski, Tylin (Harley) Peters, Kara (Corbin) du Kluyver, Payden Frey, Charissa Frey, Shayla Frey, Tyrus Cardinal, Hunter Frey,Thunder Frey and 6great-grandchildren.
