GARTON, MARVIN
Marvin Garton of Sturgeon County, AB, passed away April 30th, at the age of 75. He is survived by his loving wife, Anne (nee Aloisio) of 52 years; son, Curtis (Shauna); daughter, Kerri (Aaron) Byers; grandchildren, Zachary, Nora, Caleb & Maya; his sister, Lois Garton; and his brother-in-law, Tony (Laurie) Aloisio.
Marvin was predeceased by his parents, Bill & Helen Garton of Athabasca, AB; brother-in-law, Albert Aloisio; and sister-in-law, Leslie Hill.
Marvin went to school in Athabasca, graduated from the University of Alberta, first with a degree in electrical engineering, followed by an Executive MBA. His career spanned 37 years at Alberta Power / ATCO. Marvin had numerous interests and passions. He was an avid traveler, golfer and Harley rider. He loved to share these cherished activities with his family and friends, especially spending time at Baptiste Lake.
Marvin was a warm and sociable person with a great sense of humour. He was admired by many and will be profoundly missed.
