Erna Frieda Hammermeister (Jerke)
March 11, 1926 – May 12, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Erna Hammermeister, at the age of 99. Her life was filled with an abundance of love and caring that she shared with all of us.
Erna will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Dennis (Myrna), of Sherwood Park, Ron (Christine), of Sherwood Park, Ken (Maryann), of Edmonton; daughter, Laureen (Doug) Sztym, of Athabasca; five grandchildren, Carrie (Milo), Kristal (Brian), Kevin, Danny, and Steven (Valerie); and five great-grandchildren, Malea, Kai, Alice, Angus, and Rhett.
Erna was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 2009.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 10212 102 Ave, Westlock, AB, at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at the Westlock Public Cemetery. Viewing will take place prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Westlock Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Westlock Trinity Lutheran Church, Alzheimer's Society of Alberta, or a charity of one's choice.
