Mr. Helmut W. Jantz was born September 17, 1939
to Sophie (Flatt) Jantz and William Jantz in Rochester,
AB. He passed away peacefully at home with
his loving wife and three children on July 22, 2023.
After Helmut graduated from Westlock High School in 1958
he went on to studyelectronics at SAIT in Calgary.
Helmut married June (Seiple) Jantz June 12, 1964.
Helmut had a big personality and you never had to guess
what he was thinking. He engaged in life to the fullest,
always busy, and willing to learn new things. His passion
for creating with his hands could be seen in many areas
but probably most notably in his pottery and his gardening.
Helmut’s life ripples live on in all those who knew him and
in his pottery. His hard work ethic, his passion for creating,
learning, and engaging in life live on in his children, and
grandchildren. Helmut’s Christian faith was foundational to
how he lived his life. He came to his faith through reading
the bible as an adult. Helmut was very involved in his faith
community and many may remember him for this. Helmut
had a deep and rich faith with God that grew stronger each
day right until the end of his life. His faith is a legacy he has
left his children and grandchildren and generations to come.
Helmut is survived by: his wife, June, his three children,
four grandchildren, and his brother Eric Jantz. Helmut
demonstrated his love for June right up to the end of his life.

The funeral service for Helmut will be held on August 1,
2023 at 1:00 pm at Westlock Alliance Church, 9607 100 St,
Westlock, AB.
