Ross was born July 17, 1936, in Nova Scotia, the
eldest of seven children, to John and Elma Hemeon. He
passed away at Athabasca Extendicare.
Ross is survived by two daughters, Emily of Westlock, Roxane (Danny)
of Cold Lake; one granddaughter,Amberlee of Westlock; four grandsons,Tyrell Cena
of Edmonton, Kelly, Ryan & Dylan Gillies of Cold Lake; sisters Alice
& Evelyn; brothers Ken & Dareal; great-grandchildren. As well
as many other relatives and friends and all those whose lives he touched.
Predeceased by his 16-year-old son, Lloyd, in 1978, wife, Alice, in
2003, special companion, Gladys, in 2020, his brother,Wint, sister,
Audrey, and parents, John and Elma Hemeon.
He lived 16 years near Baptiste Lake and prior to this he lived near
Long Island Lake in Westlock County.
He was an outdoors enthusiast enjoying hunting, fishing,
camping, mountain trail riding, and spending quality time with his
grandson, Tyrell.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at
11:00 am at the Westlock Funeral Home followed by lunch and
fellowship at Westlock Memorial Hall.
