HOLM, Elsie
Elsie Holm passed away on November 16, 2022 at the age of 97 years with a sharp and clear mind.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Norine and Robert Kachmaryk; brother, Victor Taschuk; sisters, Lena Billey and Rita (Alan) Hocaluk; sister-in-law, Shirley Taschuk, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Clifford; parents, Metro and Jenny Taschuk; brothers, Bill (Gladys), George (Kay), Nick (Joy); sisters, Mary (John) Krushelnicki, Ann (Harry) Wolance and Kathleen (Walter) Chmiliar; brothers-in-law, Mike Billey, Tom (Millie) Holm, John Soley (Kelly), and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Taschuk and Sylvia (Newell) Moulton.
Elsie was a hard working farm wife who enjoyed entertaining family, friends and neighbors with her good cooking, especially her homemade pies. There were always visitors stopping by the house. They found her to be generous and hospitable. Her joy was driving the combine, assisting her husband. She was very artistic and creative, especially with her sewing projects and her handmade cards. She took great pleasure in being the family historian.
Elsie looked forward to God’s Kingdom which will bring wonderful blessings to mankind here on earth. (Rev 21:3. 4) Often she would share this hope with others.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at the Dr. Keir Care Centre for their care over the years.
In keeping with Elsie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
