A Life Well Lived

With heavy hearts, we are sad to announce the

passing of Jack Lloyd Hall on July 20, 2023, in

Athabasca, Alberta, at the age of 86 years old.

He was pre-deceased by his common-law partner

Pearl, his parents Carl and Mary, his older brother

Ken, and his daughter Ellen and grandson Larry.

Jack will be greatly missed by his adult children

Eileen (Marty), Glenn (Vyrl). His siblings Helen,

Floyd and Alma (Stan) eight grandchildren, eight

great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Jack was born and raised on his parents’ farm in

Smith, Alberta. He lived in Smith until 2018 when

he moved to Athabasca. He attended Agricultural

College (same as his dad). He was a jack of all

trades, had a great sense of humor, and the kindest,

gentlest man you could ever meet with a heart of

gold. He will also be missed by family, friends, and

anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

We are sincerely grateful to the many friends who

helped Jack over the years in Smith and at Heritage

Place and family who have given us support and

comfort during this time of loss.

A memorial will be held for Jack at a later date in Smith, Alberta.
