Our family wishes to announce the passing of our dear mother

Helen Jenkins on the morning of March 12, 2024, at the age of 74

at the Westlock Healthcare Center.

Helen was born in Edmonton on Jan 26, 1950, to Jenny and Walter

Fedorvich. Helen grew up on the family farm in the community of

Busby. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband Lester

of 29 years of marriage at the time of his passing, her parents

Jenny and Walter and her brother Dan.

She leaves behind her children Tracey (George), Barry (Angie)

and Tanya, grandchildren Rory, Lucas, Abagail, Landyn,

Austin and great grandchildren Brooklynn, Harlem, Dallas and

Alexander. Brothers Wally, Joe (Linda), Lawrence (Tracey), and

Ron plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen started her career as a hairdresser at the age of 16

and met the love of her life in Athabasca in 1972 with a

short courtship of 6 weeks. Helen and her husband moved

to Ardmore and raised all 3 kids near Lesters’ parents and

moved to Westlock in 1989 and out to the farm in 1992 to

be closer to her brothers and parents where she currently

resided until her passing.

She loved the outdoors with the family going ice fishing,

hunting, and camping. She would stay up all night with a

roaring campfire, nothing she loved more than sitting around

the campfire until morning watching the sun rise. She had a

love for cooking, and she will always be remembered for her

salad dressing, potato salad and cheap haircuts.

She will be sorely missed by family and numerous lifelong

friends and neighbours. Celebration of Life for Helen will

be held at later date. Please no donations or flowers just

remember all the great times with Helen.
