Kerry Jewell
1950-2020
Mrs. Kerry Jewell of Athabasca passed away peacefully at the Athabasca Healthcare Centre on Monday, June 29,2020, at the age of 69 years.
Kerry was born and raised in Edmonton but spent lots of time in Athabasca and Baptise Lake. She was a published author and loved writing books and telling stories. Kerry loved living on the farm on 827 and spending time with all the animals and was often found in the yard gardening or in the Kitchen cooking a meal from scratch.
Kerry is survived by her children; Tammy Hawkes, Mark Hawkes, Glen Porter, Maryellen Porter, Rebecca Ramey, grandchildren; Melody, Cody, Jenna, Wyatt, Gabriella Marie, Sadie, sisters; Valerie, Karen, Shelly, her brother Blake and loving mother Sadie Van Meer. Kerry leaves behind many extended family members and friends that she shared many memories with over the years.
Kerry is predeceased by her husband Richard Jewell, her daughter Renay Hawkes, sister Linda and father Max.
As per Kerry’s wishes, no formal services will be held at this time.
The family wishes to thank the Athabasca Health Care Center for the care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, Kerry’s wishes were donations to Cross Cancer Institute and Mazankowski.
