William (Bill) Johnson
October 13th 1937- February 3rd 2023
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of William (Bill) Johnson on February 3rd 2023 at the age of 85 years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marg (Margaret) Johnson. Left to mourn his loss is his daughter; Deb Hoyda of Cherhill, daughter-in-law; Donna Johnson of Barrhead, siblings; Wayne (Edith) Johnson, Janet (Len) Jones and Cy (Lou) Johnson, his loving grandchildren; Stephen (Angela) Hoyda, Spencer (Janelle) Hoyda, Meagan Hoyda, Justin (Kayde) Johnson and Angela (Tyler) Johnson and his great-grandchildren; Alexandra, Easton, Livia, Ali, Hailey, Lauren, and Paisley.
Bill is predeceased by his parents; Thorstien (William) and Germaine Johnson, in-laws; Frank and Angela Balen, brother; Jack and wife; Marge, niece; Mary Johnson, sister; Deanna Lazzer, sister-in-law; Mary Slupek, brother in laws; Frank and Albert Balen, his son; William (Bunk) Johnson in 2020, and his son-in-law; Steve Hoyda in 2022.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tawfik, Dr. Krantz, and the Dr. W.R. Keir Barrhead Continuing Care Centre for care and support given to Bill.
A Prayer service was held at St. Annes Parish on Sunday, February 12.
Mass of a Christian burial was held on February 13 at St Anne’s Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Interment at Naples Cemetery.
Donations can be made in Bill's name to a local charity of choice.
