It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Karen Schultz with her family by her side in Wetaskiwin, AB. Karen is now our Heavenly Angel after a devastating cancer diagnosis that took her at the young age of 63 years. She was loved as a wife, mother, grandma, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, friend and will be cherished in all our hearts. She was a hard-working woman that always so selfishly put the needs of others before her own. Karen worked as a pharmacy assistant for over 25 years and cherished many wonderful co-workers and customers along the way. She will be greatly missed by her husband Brian; daughters; Bryana (Stephen) Mardy and Ashley (Brent) Cross and 5 precious grandchildren whom she loved spending her time with; Eastyn, Braedyn and Owyn Mardy and Kael and Taryn Cross; her brother, Aubrey (Diane) Roth and adored nieces. Karen was predeceased by her parents, Dennis and Alma Roth and parents-in-law, Robert and Hazel Schultz. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when group gatherings are again permitted so that we can honour the beautiful person she was and all that she meant to us. Cremation has taken place. Donations in Karen’s memory will be gifted to Growing in Grace Preschool, a program dear to her hearts, at Grace Lutheran Church, Wetaskiwin (donations made to Growing in Grace/Grace Lutheran Church) or to a charity of your choice.
