KARL Edmund Klan
With sadden hearts, we announce that our husband, father, grandfather and brother has passed on June 14, 2021 at the age of 79 years. Karl was born to Edmund and Jean at the homestead in Meadowview Alberta. Karl farmed with his wife Blythe and parents until 1972 when Karl and Blythe took over the family farm after his Father passed in 1972. Karl and Blythe loved their pure bred cattle and farm until they retired in 1995 and moved to Barrhead. Retirement wasn’t quite what Karl thought it would be and purchased a Water truck and Gravel truck and went to work out for the next 10 yrs.
Karl will be missed by his loving wife, Blythe of 52 years; his two daughters, Carmen (Derek) Sim, Tammy Schrijvers; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Kimberly), Victoria (Jordan), Colin, Zachary (Toni), Nicholas, Melody, Jonah; and one great grand-daughter, Blair and one sister, Carolyn (Carl) Lang Karl was predeceased by his two sons, Eddy and Rusty; his parents, Ed and Jean and siblings Helen and Elsie.
A Graveside Service will be held June 29, at the Meadowview St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Blythe and family would like to thank Dr. De Waal and the staff at Barrhead continuing care for the fantastic care he received during his stay. Rest in Peace until we see you again.
