Alfred (Curly) Gustav Knapp

1931-2023

Alfred (Curly) Gustav Knapp was born in 1931 to Rosalie and Martin Knapp. He had seven brothers and three sisters. He is survived by one brother, Alvin (Esther) Knapp, residing at Brandon, Manitoba.

Curly left home at a young age to work for a neighbourhood farmer. From there he worked in various positions on the pipeline, all across Canada. He then started his very successful Pipeline Consulting Company. He was self-employed with this Company until he retired to Barrhead, Alberta, in the late 1990’s. In May of this year, Curly’s health took a turn for the worst. After a very long fight with cancer, Curly mercifully passed from his broken body in September of this year.

Curly worked hard and he played hard. He lived life to the fullest and did so in his own way and in his own time. His gruff presentation camouflaged a good heart. He was caring, considerate, generous and fun to be with. We miss his presence. We are thankful that he is no longer suffering.

Family and a few friends will say good bye to Curly at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or the Charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to arbormemorial.ca
