It is with great sadness that the family of John (Jack) Kostashuk announces his passing on November 23, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Jack was born December 24, 1927 to Helen (Yelena) and Dymytro(Dan) Kostashuk in Athabasca (Paxson), Alberta.
Jack will especially be remembered by his family for his love of the horses he owned and for the special love he held dear to his heart for all his grandchildren and great grandchildren; they could always put the biggest smile on his face.
Jack is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, Marianne; daughter: Cathy (Rod) Haub of Athabasca; son: Jack Kostashuk of Athabasca; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members.
A graveside service was held on Monday, November 29th, 2021. Pallbearers: grandchildren: Melanie, Tyler, Dustin, Pamella, Cole and Katlyn. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes to do so can make a memorial donation in Jack Kostashuk’s name to the school nutrition program.
