Robert Joseph Kremp, age 86, of Barrhead, Alberta passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Robert leaves to mourn his loving family: daughters; Lorraine and Annette, daughter-in-law Donna, grandchildren; Kristopher (Kristin), Vance (Katherine), Roseanna (Calvenn), Natasha (Sean), Kimberlee (Eric), Alyssa (Jason), Jessica, Samantha (Michael), Justine (Tyler), Sheena (Jed), Stuart Jr, numerous great-grandchildren; brothers; Eugene (Kathleen) and Edward (Louise), sisters; Rita, Rose (Bernard), and Bernadette, sisters-in-law Susan and Sandra; numerous other family and many dear friends. Robert is predeceased by his wife; Lila, sons; Vincent and Stuart, parents; Joseph and Cecile, and siblings; Francis, Mary, James, Lawrence; and brothers-in-law George and Clayton.

Robert Kremp was born December 14, 1936. He spent the first year of his life in the Stewartfield area. He and his parents then moved to Mosside where he and his 9 siblings would spend their childhood on the homestead their great grandfather established. He never went far. As an adult, he made his way to the farm that his grandparents previously owned and never left. He expanded his farm and his family with his wife and children setting down roots strong enough that even his boys never left. His passion for farming came from the heart with a genuine love of animals that carried through his whole life. He loved horses and wildlife, and truly took care of and pride in his cattle to his last day with us. He struggled with a variety of health issues for many years, so although his passing was not unexpected, his family were not ready to say goodbye. Robert will be sadly missed and fondly remembered with a small smirk and a quiet word or two.

Prayer service to be held at Rose Garden Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 5 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Parish on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11 am. Interment following the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mosside. Luncheon at Mosside Community Centre following interment.
