Marvin Kruschel (formerly of Tiger Lily, Alberta), at the age of 90, passed away on December 26, 2021 at Heritage House in Vegreville, Alberta.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Joanne (Douglas) McCrae of Vermilion Alberta and Brenda (Tal) Olson) of Sherwood Park Alberta; grandchildren Andrew (Lacey) McCrae, Sarah (Jesse) Bydevaate, Matthew McCrae, Julia (Riley) Postman, David McCrae, Jacqueline Olson and Nathan Olson; great-grandchildren Lucy and Angus McCrae as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marvin was predeceased by his wife Marlene and siblings Wilbert Kruschel and Emily Sutherland. A private family service was held on January 1, 2022 at Faith Lutheran Church in Vermilion with Pastor Quinn Adams officiating.
The funeral service can be viewed online under Reflections Funeral Home (Vermilion) on Marvin’s obituary page. A private burial was held January 5, 2022 at East Lawn Cemetery in Barrhead. Memorial donations may be made to CNIB Foundation, STARS, or charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage House for the care Marvin received while he was there - he always said he was well looked after and he appreciated the care he received. Thank you also to Pastor Quinn who graciously came from Lloydminster to visit and give communion to Marvin, and then gave a comforting service. Thank you to the staff at Reflections Funeral Home for all their help in making arrangements, and for their compassionate and understanding care.
