William David (Bill) Lopushinsky

September 23, 1955 – September 20, 2022

It is with deepest love and sadness that we share the news that God called Bill home on September 20th, 2022 after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.

Bill was a wonderful loving and talented person who spread joy and happiness wherever he went. Being a self-taught musician who could play any instrument, but his passion was the mandolin. He played in many bands and was one of the founding members of Jerusalem Ridge. Bluegrass and Gospel music was his calling. To quote from the song “A Beautiful Life” – “Life evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go, To meet the deeds that I have done where there will be no sinking sun”. His love of Mopar cars/trucks was one of his most enjoyable past times, whether it be at the racetrack, working on a car or helping a neighbour or keeping the equipment running. If anyone had a problem with their vehicles Bill would be the first person there and would never expect anything in return.

He was predeceased by his father and mother Andrew and Anna Lopushinsky and sister Evelyn (Mahan) Lopushinsky. Left to cherish his memories- Mike Lopushinsky and niece Jocelyn Smith, Andy (Donna) Lopushinsky, niece Holley and nephew Jordan Lopushinsky and nephew Wayne (Karen) Mahan.

As per Bill's wishes there will be no funeral, a celebration of life to follow later.

The family would like to thank Dr. Coma and the nursing staff at the Westlock Hospital for the compassionate and tender loving care they provided for Bill.
