Hazel Margaret Lund
October 8, 1943 - May 29, 2020
Mrs. Hazel Margaret Lund of Boyle, beloved wife of Mr. Trueman Forest Lund, passed away suddenly at the Wild Rose Villa on Friday, May 29, 2020, at the age of 76 years.
Hazel was born on October 8, 1943, in Athabasca to Stan & Peggy Raaflaub, the third of five children. Growing up she attended the Ellscott and Boyle Schools. On December 19, 1959, she married Trueman Forest Lund and together they farmed and raised a beautiful family. She loved farm life and had an abundance of love for most animals. Hazel was very active in the community with Rural Crime Watch, Youth Justice, Crime Prevention, Community Justice, ACW. She drove a school bus in the county for numerous years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Stan & Peggy Raaflaub.
Hazel is survived by her husband Trueman of Boyle, children; Penelope of Boyle, Virginia (Richard) Grady of Edmonton, Travis (Tiffany Bloodoff) of Devon, grandson Jessi (Denise) Lund of Edmonton, siblings; Donna, Arthur, Lawrence, and Linda, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
The family would like to express their thanks to Alberta Health Services Home Care, Dr. Fourie, and the staff at the Wild Rose Villa for their overwhelming care and support through this process.
A private family service has been held at the house of Trueman & Hazel.
