Tom Dennis Meunier

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Dennis Meunier of Barrhead, on October 5, 2022, at the age of 90.

Tom was a wonderful husband, Dad, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by Jean, his wife of almost 67 years; 6 children;Bev (Bill) Kippers, Neil, Lorraine (Collin) Grant, Dennis, Ron (Melissa), Sherri (John) Both; hismany precious and much-loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His siblings who survive Tom are; Raymond (Janet), Don (Donna), Betty (Phil), Elayne (Brad), Lyle (Linda), brother-in-law Leonard Lindquist and sister-in-law Wendy Meunier. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tom was born in Barrhead and raised in the Mosside area, where he attended Craven School. After his marriage to Jean in 1955, the two homesteaded along the Athabasca River in Moose Wallow, then later moved to Mosside to continue his love for farming. After retiring from the farm, Tom and Jean moved into the town of Barrhead. Tom continued to be involved in the farming world by hauling farm equipment for Try Star. Tom loved to visit with farmers and friends and go for drives to see the countryside. He will be remembered most for his sense of humor and lovingly teasing of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Tom is predeceased by daughters-in-law Tracy and Mavis, parents Paul and Elsie Meunier, and siblings Ralph, Hazel, Wilbert (Margaret), Eugene, Louise (Willie), Donna (George), and Daryl.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Barrhead Alliance Church. Lunch to follow. Livestream of service https://www.barrheadalliancechurch.com/
