Sandra Moyan

1961-2020

Our family is sadly mourning the loss of our dear mother Sandy Moyan. Sandy passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on November 15, 2020 in Athabasca AB. Sandy fought courageously and gracefully but lost her battle with cancer.

Sandy was born in Pembroke ON on April 7, 1961.

Sandy is survived by her children; Daughter, Rachel (Darren) Richards - grandchildren Tanner, Tia (Ryley), And Daylin, Son, Junior (Hannah) Moyan - grandchildren Darby (Joe), Emma, Nakota, Jace and Sophie, Daughter, Jolene (Jason) - grandchildren Zayda and Zakiya.

Sandy is also survived by her mother’s Linda Gervais and Eunice Krawetz.

Sandy will be missed greatly by her sisters Mary Lou (Garfield) Behm and Cindy Noble. Her brothers Emmett Gervais and Jonathan Gervais.

Sandy leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by many great friends.

Sandy was predeceased by her father Russell Gervais in 1989. Her mother-in-law Josephine Moyan in 1994. Her father in law Henry Moyan in 2000. Her husband John Moyan in 2010.

Sandy was loved by so many family and friends and by all that knew her. She will be missed by everyone. In her finally weeks, friends and family displayed an undeniable, immense amount of love for Sandy.

The family is so appreciative of all the prayers, well wishes and condolence. Sandy will live in all of our hearts, always and forever.

Friends and Family are invited to attend Sandra’s wake and pay their respects at the Malbroro Community Hall - near Edson, between 4:00 P.M. on Friday, November 20, 2020, and 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 21, 2020. This gathering will be limited to a maximum of 50 people at a time, as per community regulations all attendees are required to wear a face covering.

 As a result of the current health crisis and the gathering, restrictions imposed the family will be holding a private family service on Saturday, November 21, 2020. The family wishes to express their apologies to all of those who loved Sandra and are unable to attend. We encourage you to attend the wake service to speak with the family and to say goodbye to Sandra. For all of those who are unable to attend, the funeral service will be recorded and uploaded to this page in the days following the funeral service.
