Helen Neuman
On May 1, 2022, Helen Neuman (nee Volorney) of Barrhead, formerly of Vega, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years.
Left to cherish Helen’s memory are her son Glen (Mary) Neuman and granddaughters Alexis and Madeline Neuman, sister Elsie (Peter) Karasiuk, brother John Volorney and sisters-in-law Martha Neumann and Sharon Volorney, along with nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2001, parents John and Pauline Volorney, brother Nick Volorney, brothers-in-law Art Dallman, Garth Neumann, and Ralph Neuman, and sisters-in-law Alma Dallman and Gladys Neuman.
Helen will always be remembered for her love and gardening and plants. Her yard was an award-winning bounty of colour that was proudly shown to many. She also was a great baker that had a wickedly good wild blueberry pie that was enjoyed at social gatherings (if you were lucky enough to get a slice!)
The family would like to express thanks to the Keir Extended Care Centre of the exemplary care that she received there during her length of stay there, and a special thank you to Solange, her nurse that showed such empathy to her in her final hours.
Memorial Donations may be made in Helen’s memory to a charity of choice.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2022 from Rose Garden Chapel.
