OSTROM, DAVID
May 22, 1921 - December 14, 2020
David Ostrom formerly from Rich Valley, passed away peacefully at the age of 99 on December 14, 2020.
It is the greatest gift knowing that he will be in Paradise along with his wife Beatrice (nee Borle) who predeceased him in 2009 and his son Philip who passed away in 1994.
David will be lovingly remembered by his six children, Janice (Jerry) Mitchell, Howard Ostrom, Anita (Ric) Klassen, Linda (Marvin) Johnson, Barb (Doug) Cook, Lynette (Steve) Elder; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He is survived by 2 of his sisters, Rita Ketch and Elsie Charyna; and sister-in-law, Juanita and Elaine Ostrom and brother-in-law Adrien Smith.
Dad enjoyed telling stories of his adventures working up North on the DEW line, but his passion was farming alongside his wife Beatrice and together they raised a family of seven. Although at times (it was tough sledding . .. his words) he wouldn’t change anything. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Staff at Shepherd’s Care in Barrhead for their kindness and wonderful care they provided.
Due to COVID 19 we will be holding a celebration of Dad’s life at a later date.
