In Loving Memory Of
James Randall “Randy” Parker
After heroically living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) for the past four years, Randy peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on February 16, 2024.
Randy will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate, Louise; his beloved and cherished sons James (Branka), Stephen (Meagan) and their mom, Cathie; his step-children Kim, Nicole (Colin), and Philip (Lyndi); his precious grandsons Max and Jack; his much loved brother and sisters, Larry (Rosemarie), Karen (Rob) and Elaine; and his nieces and nephews. Randy will also be deeply missed by his lifelong friend Grizz (Brooke) as well as many other relatives and friends.
Randy was predeceased by his loving Mom and Dad, Anna and Charles.
Randy was born August 2nd, 1959 and raised in Athabasca, Alberta. He moved from his happy childhood home to Edmonton. From Edmonton, Randy would live in Victoria, Toronto, Vancouver, and White Rock. In 1989, he returned to Victoria and settled in Sidney, BC in 2013.
Over his lifetime, Randy passionately honed his many skills and talents which included being a stockbroker, carpenter, cartographer, public service employee, actor and singer. Randy lived his life to the fullest, was an avid sailor (racing and cruising) and travelled extensively. He also enjoyed hiking, camping, bike riding, scuba diving, playing guitar, cooking and gardening. Randy was a kind, generous and loving person, his smile and laughter were infectious and his hugs always brought a sense of comfort and security.
As per Randy’s wishes, he was cremated and a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. A park bench dedicated to Randy’s memory will be installed in Lillian Hoffar Park in North Saanich overlooking Tsehum Harbour.

Not a day goes by when you are not loved and missed. Held in our hearts forever.
