Roberta (Bobbi) Gwendolyn Peirson
1935 - 2023
Peacefully on June 27, 2023, Bobbi passed away surrounded by family at the University of Alberta Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, mother Margaret Deyo; father Kenneth Randall; stepfather Albert Deyo; and son-in-law Richard Dahlstrom. Bobbi will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Terry (Richard) Dahlstrom; son Brad (Julie) Peirson; grandchildren Lisa (Spencer), Sammi, Michael (Britanny), Cody, Shania, Alex (Lyra) and Levi; great-grandchildren Alba and Savi; half-sister Bev (Yvon) Royer; stepbrother Bill (Judy) Deyo; stepsister Bev (Gord) Graham; many nieces and nephews.
Bobbi loved family, friends, art, acting, nature and her cat Poppy. She worked as a lab technician for several decades and retired in Westlock. She was active in the community with the Red Hat Society, the Hazel Bluff Community theatre, and the Westlock and Barrhead Art Clubs. She began painting in the 1970’s and was proud to have studied art under Paul Braid. Many summers were spent in the foothills and mountains of Alberta painting landscapes, her style was influenced by the Group of Seven. Her neighbors and friends were always willing to help one another, and she was grateful to have a caring community around her. She fiercely enjoyed her independence and was able to maintain it until her last day.
A celebration of life will be held on July 29th at the Westlock Inn, Pembina Room, 2-4 PM.
