Fredrika Peters was called home by her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Sept 5th, 2021 at 82 years of age as a resident of Shepherd’s Care in Barrhead, AB, formerly a resident of Neerlandia, AB.
Freddie is survived by her loving children, 3 sons, Harry (Dorothy) Peters, Marvin (Evelyn) Peters, Richard (Fettie) Peters, 1 daughter, Rose (Wes) Bredenhof; 12 grandchildren, Joshua (Debra), Chad (Robyn), Travis (Bonnie), Jessica (Michael), Josiah, Jeremy, Julie, Stacey, Emeline, Ben, Neil & Bethany; 12 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Adelynn, Jonah, Cooper, Anna, Shannon, Norah, Grayson, Bryanna, Hadassah, Spencer, Allison & Colby. 3 sisters, Jennie (George) Wemekamp, Rikie Feringa, Dinie Hamoen; 6 sister-in-laws, Alie Vogelzang, Shirley Vogelzang, Tenie Stiksma, Hilda ( Wilfred ) Holwerda, Johanna Werkman, Pat Oostenburg; 1 brother-in-law Rieks Peters.
Fredrika is predeceased by her husband of 57 years Joe Peters, her son John Peters, daughter-in-law Cathy Peters, parents John & Hendrika Vogelzang, step-mother Hennie Vogelzang; 2 brothers, Bill Vogelzang & John Vogelzang; 11 brother-in-laws, John Feringa, Case Hamoen, Johannes Peters, John Peters, Art Peters, Henry Peters, Dick Froma, Piet Stiksma, Koos Duker, John Werkman, Sid Oostenbrug,; 6 sister-in-laws Trijntje Peters, Corry Froma, Anje Duker, Martje Vanderveen, Sienna Peters, Hennie Peters.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept 11, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Neerlandia Canadian Reformed Church in Neerlandia. Interment will follow the service at the Neerlandia cemetery. Livestream will be available through the Neerlandia Canadian Reformed Church South on YouTube.
In Fredrika’s memory, donations will be gratefully accepted for Shepherd’s Care Foundation or the charity of one’s choice.
