PETERS, Mervyn Douglas

On April 21, 2021, Mervyn Douglas Peters passed away at the age of 78 years old.

His Passing was peaceful with his children at his side.

He will be remembered fondly by his oldest daughter Sherri Martinuk and her family, His oldest son Cory Peters and his family, and his youngest son Carey Peters and his family. Mervyn D Peters was blessed with 10 grandchildren that will carry fond memories throughout the rest of their lives.

Mervyn was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 17, 1943 to Vera Hadley and John Peters, and was 1 of 6 children. He is survived by his eldest brother Dennis. Growing up on a small farm he quickly learned the importance of hard work, and integrity which he carried for the rest of his life. From swimming across the Red River as a boy to frequenting the most popular locales on the now famous Portage and Main intersection in Winnipeg in the 60s. His need for adventure took him across Canada and eventually all-over North America as a long-haul truck driver and near the end of his career, navigating the Frozen Ice Highways north of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories.

The Family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date.
