April 4, 1939 – March 6, 2024
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn
the peaceful passing of Ellen Punko of Westlock, Alberta on
March 6, 2024.
She will be lovingly remembered by – her eldest daughter, Kathy
Risdale and her three children, Joy (Nevin) Blaikie and their
daughter Kathryn, Shawna (Jordan) Risdale and their daughter
Autumn, and Stacy Risdale – her eldest son, Reno Joeson and his
fiancé Bonita, and her sons Colby and Kemper – her youngest son,
Rick (Laura) Punko and her daughter Charlene, and her daughters
Phedra and Arianna – her daughter, Stella Punko and her two
children, Keifer Dutchak and Breann (Fil) Dadic – and her youngest
daughter, Judy Punko.
She also leaves to mourn her brother Sid (Louise) Grove of
Chetwynd, BC and Dale (Wanda) Tremblay of Chetwynd, BC
her brother-in-law, Henry (Maryann) Punko and sister-in-law
Marguerite Punko and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Julius, on October 22, 1987.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024,
at 1:00 PM at the Westlock Memorial Hall 9903 106 Street
Westlock AB.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Ellen
Punko’s name to the Westlock Food Bank or the Westlock Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 97.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the
Westlock Long Term Care as well as the Westlock Healthcare
Centre. Your caring and support for Mom will always be
remembered.
