Walter Allan Raines
1946 - 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Walter Allan Raines was called to our Lord on Sept. 23, 2021 at High River Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Westlock AB on Jan. 18, 1946.
Walter will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia; Daughters: Shelley and Leanne; Grandchildren: Melissa, Taylor, James, Cassidy, Ashley and Madison; Sisters: Caren (Bill) Gawryluk, Denise Haydamack, Beverly (Mike) Andruski, Joan (John) Meston, Katie (Ron) Krawchuk and Shirley(Ron) Hietala; Brothers: Malcolm and Dennis. (Teresa); many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his Mom and Dad: Clarence and Agnes Raines of Westlock, AB; Brother Terry Raines; Nephew Jimmy Gawryluk and brother-in-law Len Haydamack.
Funeral mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Okotoks AB on Oct. 9, 2021 at 11:30 with Fr. Vincent officiating. Unfortunately with Covid restrictions, only 50 people are allowed.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be gladly accepted at a breakfast club for a school near you to help feed hungry children or a Food Bank or the soup kitchen in your town or city to help feed the homeless and/or the working poor. Thank you.
