William Robinson

1954-2020

Billy was born in the Athabasca Hospital on July 10, 1954. He was the first of four children to Bill and Loyse Robinson. They lived on a farm east of Colinton. He grew up helping on the farm and was a jack of many trades, always willing to try something new. He was a farmer, truck driver, he worked at Co-op in Boyle and even worked on gas compressors. He developed a love of carpentry and all things related to it. He went on to work in the building trade for many, many years. Bill and Linda spend the last 25 years in and around the Boyle area and finally settled at the cottage on Skeleton Lake – Mewatha Drive Sunset Strip, which quickly turned into their family spot.

Bill was well known in town and the surrounding areas for his construction ability as well as always helping anyone at any time. Bill was known for his infectious laughter, his joking mannerisms, and his very strong work ethic. Bill worked hard, played hard, and enjoyed life with his wife Linda, their children, and grandchildren. 

Bill was survived by his eldest son Tyrel, his youngest son Nathan, son-in-law Damon, grandchildren; Devlin, Aidew, Zach, Zane, and Jacelyn, his sister Sheila, brother-in-law Fred Mikalunas, sister-in-law and special friend Shannon Saunders – her children; Desiree and Nickolas, Tory and her three children, and his brother & sister-in-law Roy and Pat Saunders. 

Billy was predeceased by his mother and father, youngest brother Donny, brother Alan, wife Linda and stepdaughter Carly.

A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the Boyle Community Centre.
