JIM GLENN ROFFEY
May 31, 1948, to January 31, 2024
It is with heavy hearts we share that Jim Glenn Roffey passed away on January 31, 2024, from his battle with dementia. Jim Glenn Roffey was born on May 31, 1948, in Edmonton Alberta. Jims parents are the late Melvin and Therasa Roffey.
Upon Jim’s passing, he joined many other loved ones, including his partner Vera, older brother Alex, and his two sisters, Laura and Martha. He has also reunited with his nephews Angus and Tristan. Left to mourn are Jim’s siblings, Archie, Ed and Eunice. Jim also has many nephews and nieces that he had a very special bond with whom he treated like his own.
Jim was born and raised in the Edmonton area, to which he did live and work in as well. He also spent a significant amount of time living with Eunice and her children in the Thorhild area. Jim moved to Pibroch with his partner Vera. Upon her passing, Jim continued to live in Pibroch until he became sick and move to Westlock Continuing Care until his passing. He remained close with Eunice and her children throughout the years, and eventually, when he could no longer care for himself, they cared for him.
Jim was kind, generous, patient, yet feisty. He was hard working, dedicated, and would do anything for anybody. Although a quite and humble man, and a man of few words, he created a special bond with the ones he loved the most.
Jim gave us so many precious memories that have filled our hearts, so much so that they will last a lifetime. Although Jim’s presence may be gone, the impact he had on our lives will be with us forever.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
