Elizabeth Dorothy Sale’ (Betty)
It is with sad hearts that we, the family of Elizabeth Dorothy Sale’ (Betty) lovingly announce her passing August 6th, 2022 at the age of 88. Betty grew up the oldest of 11 children, and knew well life on a farm in Clyde AB. She met and married the love of her life, Louis Sale’ January 7, 1953.
Betty and Louis lived and raised their five children on a farm near Athabasca. Betty’s life revolved around her husband, their children, friends and the Catholic Church. We would like to recognize Betty as one who sacrificed for others, who shared generously, and was a faithful believer in God.
We would like to thank all those who cared for our mother while she was failing, especially Dr. Klopper, for the outstanding care of our mother and counselling for her family. Thank you also to the caregivers in the Athabasca Healthcare Centre; the kind and caring employees at Pleasant Valley Lodge, the Athabasca Community Chapel, the Catholic Women’s League for the Honor Guard and beautiful lunch, and Fr Paulson Kannanaikal and Ida Edwards for the Funeral Mass at St Gabriel’s church.
A heartfelt thank you to all those who extended love and support to us through our grief and loss.
