SAND, Orin Randy
With broken hearts and loving remembrance, the family of Mr. Orin Sand of Hondo, AB announce his sudden and tragic passing on June 25, 2022 at the age of 61 years.
Orin was the seventh child of Marlo and Virginia Sand and was raised on the family farm in Hondo, AB.
Early in life, Orin met his soulmate, Nancy, and together they built a life of happiness and adventure. Orin and Nancy married in front of friends and family July 3, 1993, and together they raised their children, the absolute pride and joy of Orin’s life. Besides being the ultimate dad and husband, Orin was an incredible friend to many. With afull heart he offered his help, mentorship, advice, and friendship to the beautiful community he and Nancy created together.
Orin is survived by the love of his life Nancy, children Kyle (Leah and Baby), Carli (Lance and grandson Kaeden), Ryan (Belle), sister Arlene (Paul), brothers Alvin (Fay), Warren (Judy), Dennis (Elaine), and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Marlo and Virginia Sand, brothers Marvin (Linda), and Daniel, mother and father-in-law Dave and June Carpenter and sister-in-law Kathy Carpenter.
A Celebration of Life was held on July 5th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at The Gathering Place, Slave Lake, AB.
