SCHMIDT, Vivian

April 15, 1942 - March 17, 2021

It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts the family of Vivian Schmidt announces her passing on March 17, 2021 at the age of 78.

On April 15, 1942 Vivian was born at the Barrhead Hospital the second child to Lloyd and Ethel Lee.

Vivian grew up in Mellowdale where her parents had a greenhouse and market garden. Vivian went to the rural Mellowdale School until Grade 2 and then completed her schooling in Barrhead.

Vivian fell in love with the boy next door and got married to Leonard Schmidt on September 3rd, 1960.  The happy couple started out in a small house in the town of Barrhead, then to an acreage and finally to their farm in Meadowview in 1965 where Leonard and Vivian lived their dream raising cattle, horses and their three boys.

Vivian loved her family, her friends and treated anyone that entered her home as someone special.

Vivian was predeceased by her parents, and her loving husband Leonard.

Vivian is survived by her children; Ronald (Elaine), Randy (Diana) and David (Donna) and her grandchildren; Kolton (Katy), Taylor, Levi, Darci MacMillan (Lee), Tyler (Chelsie), Ashley Tarry (Justin), Cole, Kagen and Tate. Her great grandchildren; Weston Tarry and Berklee MacMillan. Her brothers Bob Lee (Gertrude) and Bill Lee (Carol) and sister Ruby Dyer (Wilf). As well as numerous other family and many dear friends.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Tawfik and all of the staff at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre for the great care that they showed for Vivian as well as the staff at the Shepherd’s Care.
