Rodney Smith
April 8, 1956 – March 28, 2024
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our loving husband, father, poppa, brother and friend Rodney Albert Smith of Colinton Alberta. Rodney passed away on March 28th 2024.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife Lori, children Jolene(Brittany), Mathew(Emily), Luke(Kallie), Brittani(Tyson), Tiana, and his four gorgeous granddaughters Harper, Blake, Payton and Wren. Brother Ivan (Linda), and sisters Rita (Benny), Shirley (Don), Gail, Lily (Morris), Beatrice (Jim), Bev (Emile), Irma (Dwayne), Heather and brother in law Frank. Also In Laws Jackie and Gordon Clarke, Brother in law Joe (Nicole) and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Rodney was predeceased by his Mom Betty and Father Fred and sisters Elizabeth, Brenda, Deb and brothers Lyle, and Harvey.
He had a love for all those he knew as well as horses and being outdoors. Rodney’s memory will live on in the hearts of many and the family appreciates all the love and support through this time. He was well loved by all that knew him for his generous heart, unique sense of humour and his tendency to drop everything to help others.
The Service for Rodney will be Friday, April 12 at 1:00 pm at the Colinton Community Center with Pastor Al Plat officiating. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rodney’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
