It is with deep sadness and much love that the family of Dwight Stephens announce his passing on January 13, 2022 at the age of 68 years.
He is profoundly missed by his wife Pam, daughters: Jamie (Mark) Malimban, Jordyn (Kyron) Sabourin; grandchildren Hendrix, Kingston, Kane, Kenzie; Mother Jean Stephens; siblings: Margaret (Andy) Lanti, Clifford Stephens, Maureen (Ray) Lipiec, Linda Stephens; sisters-in-law Debbie Sveinson (Terry), D’Arcy Wingrove (Colin Landells), Donnell Wingrove (Nick Girotti); brothers in law: Kim Wingrove (Yolika), Kent Wingrove (Trudy); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his son Scott. The measure of a life, after all, is not its duration but its donation of which Dwight lived by.
He had a long successful career in the automotive parts industry and the community benefitted tremendously from his years of volunteering with the Rotary, Kinsmen and Westlock Hall Board. Family, friends, and community knew him as ahumble, generous, and kind person, always putting the needs of other ahead of his own and always first to lend a hand. He gave everyone the benefit of the doubt and was quick to forgive. Dwight’s optimism was infectious, and his quick and ready laugh ensured all those around him felt “at home”. His endless energy and sense of adventure translated into fun whenever family and friends gathered. He was deeply loyal to his family, friends, colleagues, and community and those who were lucky enough to have known him had their lives enriched. Above all, he loved and was deeply devoted to Pam, Jamie, and Jordyn and their respective families and took immense pride in his children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments and his legacy will live on through them.
