CATHERINE (CATHY) MARIE STURWOLD
May 10, 1960 - January 16, 2022
Cathy Sturwold (nee Wallace), late of Campsie, AB, passed away at the age of 61 at the Barrhead Hospital.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Devin (Kim) Sturwold; grandchildren, Liam & Kinley; siblings: Don (Maxine) Wallace, David (Diana) Wallace; sister-in-laws: Reta (James) Strydhorst, Martha Birrell, Sherri (Gord) Kuschminder and brothers-in-law: Tom(Gerda) Sturwold and Arlyn Sturwold; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cathy was predeceased by her husband, Rod, in 2012 and her parents, Fred and Bertha Wallace.
Cathy’s grandchildren were the light of her life and she treasured every moment she spent with them. She had several crafting talents and loved to decorate for celebrations. Cathy loved her plants and flowers and took pride in her knowledge of them. She always had a grand display of outdoor flowers.
A private service will be held for Cathy at Rose Garden Chapel in Barrhead, AB (current restrictions are in effect). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barrhead Regional Fire Services, made payable to Barrhead Grizzly Trail Fire and Rescue Association, Box 4172, Barrhead, Alberta, T7N 1A2 or charity of one’s choice.
