1934 - 2023
Helen Sumyk of Thorhild,
Alberta passed away peacefully at Red Deer,
Alberta on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at
the age of 88 years. Helen was born in Spirit
River,Alberta to parents, Harry and Antonina
Dzioba. Helen will be lovingly remembered by
her four sons, Morris Sumyk, William (Joyce)
Sumyk, Daniel (Suzanne Gagnon) Sumyk and
Henry (Eva) Sumyk,her four daughters,Patricia
Henderson, Irene (Faiz Alie Qureshi) Sumyk,
Violet (Bill Mount) Lewis and Barbara Sumyk,
her ten grandchildren, her twenty-one great
grandchildren and numerous extended family
members. Helen was predeceased by her
husband,Walter Sumyk,her partner,Alexander
Fenske, a daughter, Rose, a son, Bobby, a
son-in-law, Leslie Lewis, and her parents.
Divine Litergy and a Funeral was Celebrated at
the Ukrainian Catholic Church, 324 - 4 Avenue,
Thorhild, Alberta on Thursday, March 2, 2023
at 11:00 a.m.
