SWAN, David Charles
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Charles Swan on January 29, 2022. Dave had a deep and abiding faith in God and left this earth peacefully knowing he was going to be with the Lord.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Bonnie, his children Judith, Valdine (Ken), David (Lisa) and his beloved grandchildren Annika, Mary, Jaeda, Zach and Kaden.
Dave is predeceased by his parents, Horace & Miriam Swan and his older siblings, Joan, Alan, Colin and Barbara.
He is survived by his younger siblings Brian, Jim, Peter, Sheila, Rick, Don and Judy.
Dave was born in Fort Macleod in 1939 and moved with his family to Pibroch in the early 1950’s. Dave graduated from Westlock High Schoolin1958. He was so proud of his roots in the Westlock area and even though his life would take him to Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria, his heart always remained in Westlock.
Dave’s life was defined by his faith, family and service to others. While he was strong in mind, body and spirit, it was his kindness, compassion and generosity that touched everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Dave later in the spring, a date is yet to be determined.
