Darrell James Troock
December 3, 1956 - September 10, 2023
A life well lived, with fulfillment, family, and friends. Darrell left us to rest peacefully on September 10, 2023. He passed at the Barrhead Hospital surrounded by family and love.
Darrell had many passions. His family, friends, and community were always at the heart of what motivated him. Darrell served as a County Councillor for Division 5 for 16 years and always felt privileged to serve a community he truly loved.
In his younger days he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many memorable vacations and camping trips. And though he was a man of many talents, in more recent years, he took up the family talent of painting.
Mourning his loss, he leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Tara; his children, Nathan (Ane) and Tessa; siblings Don (Marilyn), Brian (Laurie), Norman
(Edith), Wayne (Lori); mother-in-law, Carol; father-in-law, Ben; sister-in-law, Debbie; as well numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.
Darrell is predeceased by his parents Alice and Oliver; and father-in-law Bob.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and Dr. Bernes at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre for the care you gave Darrell and the comfort you gave our family. Your compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30pm October 1, 2023, at the Barrhead Senior Drop In Centre, 5437 49 Street, Barrhead.
